Dr. David J. Csonka was born and raised in western Pennsylvania. He attended Leechburg Area High School and then attended Allegheny College where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in chemistry. While at Allegheny, he was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honorary society. His optometric education was completed in 1981 at Pennsylvania College of Optometry, now Salus University in Elkins Park, Pa.
Before graduating from PCO, he was elected into the optometric honor society, Beta Sigma Kappa. While in optometry school Dr. David met his wife Susan and the couple was married in 1980. He has two children, Dr. Elaine Miller who joined her parents in their practice, and their son Daniel. When not in the office, Dr. David enjoys landscaping and gardening at home, golf, woodworking, exercising and hunting. Being an Eagle Scout, he worked for over a decade with Boy Scout Troop 195 at St. Catherine of Sweden Church in Alison Park where he and his family are parishioners. Recently, he has become involved with the church’s Appalachia Home Repair Program in Preston County, West Virginia. He and his family also travel to a rural village, villa de San Francisco, in Honduras each year to provide eyeglasses and eye care as part of a medical mission group sponsored by the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown.
Dr. David Csonka is a 30 year member of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and a member of the Sports Vision Section of the American Optometric Association. Drs. David and Susan are also the official eye care providers for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Dr. Susan Csonka attended the University of Puerto Rico where she grew up. She then attended the Pa. College of Optometry where she received her Doctorate in 1981. During the years at PCO, Dr. Susan met her husband, Dr. David, and they were married in 1980. They have two children, Dr. Elaine Miller, who practices optometry with her parents, and their son Daniel.
Dr. Susan has been active in the community performing school screenings at St. Mary of Glenshaw and later in the Hampton School district at all the grade levels. She has been a Children’s Liturgy presider at St. Catherine of Sweden in Wildwood for 22 years.
She and her family have traveled to Honduras as part of a medical mission team sponsored by the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown where they provide vision screenings and glasses donated by the Lion’s Club and patients. She along with Dr. David are team eye doctors for the Pittsburgh Pirates. While not in the office, she enjoys gardening, skiing, reading and going to baseball games.

Dr. Elaine Miller received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the Pennsylvania State University, where she graduated with highest honors. She went on to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia and received her Doctor of Optometry Degree. She graduated first in her class from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, and earned numerous awards. Dr. Miller is a member of Beta Sigma Kappa international optometric honor society, the Western Pennsylvania Optometric Society, the Pennsylvania Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. Her interests in practice include primary care, contact lenses, pediatric care, and the medical treatment of eye disease. She currently lives in the North Hills area with her husband and two kids. On her time off, she enjoys curling up with a good book, and watching Pittsburgh sports, which includes both of her children’s sporting events.
Dr. Colleen Bressler was born and raised in the North Hills area. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the Pennsylvania State University, where she graduated with highest honors. She went on to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia and received her Doctor of Optometry Degree. Dr. Bressler is a member of Beta the Western Pennsylvania Optometric Society, the Pennsylvania Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. Her interests in practice include primary care, contact lenses, pediatric care, and the medical treatment of eye disease. She currently lives in the North Hills area with her husband and two kids. Dr. Colleen’s outside interests include spending time with her kids and family, cooking, and reading.
Dr. Jeff Dreier was born, raised and still resides in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. He graduated from Grove City College in 2003 with his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He graduated in 2007 from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia with a Doctor of Optometry degree. During his schooling, Dr. Jeff completed several internships including rotations at the Browning Community Hospital in Browning, Montana (the center of the Blackfeet Indian Nation); Draisin Vision Group in Charleston, SC; and Laurel Eye Clinic in Altoona, PA. For 15 years after graduation, he was in a private practice in Butler and Grove City.
Dr. Jeff is a member of the Western Pennsylvania Optometric Society, the Pennsylvania Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. His interests include primary eye care, contact lenses (including specialty lenses such as scleral lenses), pre and post operative care of refractive surgery and cataracts, and medical treatment of eye disease. He and his wife have two retired racing Greyhounds. His outside interests include running/hiking, collecting antiques and visiting America’s National Parks and Historical sites – especially those pertaining to the Civil War.
